Audio Performance & Design

This speaker features a 4-inch (100mm) LF driver and a 0.75-inch (19mm) silk-dome HF driver on a 110° x 80° horn, enabling it to deliver 40W AES, 160W peak power, and produce 109dB peak output at 1 meter. In addition, it maintains a smooth frequency response and strong bass down to 70Hz, ensuring consistent clarity in both speech and music.

Because the A40 has a 16-ohm nominal impedance, multiple units can operate in parallel from a single low-impedance amplifier, such as the Martin Audio VIA2004, which maximizes efficiency and reduces costs. Moreover, the system protects its low and high-frequency sections from overload, ensuring reliable performance even in demanding installations.

Installation & Versatility

The A40 comes in black or white, and users can paint it to match their décor. It mounts vertically or horizontally using the included wall bracket, and for outdoor installations, the cabinet only requires a waterproof connector cover.

Additionally, pairing the A40 with the VIA2004 amplifier and DX0.5 or DX4.0 controllers provides flexibility for both small and complex installations. Furthermore, users can monitor and control the setup through Martin Audio’s VU-NET software, enabling precise audio management in real time.
