The Pioneer Pro Audio XY-2 is a precision-engineered 8-inch 2-way passive mid-high loudspeaker designed for large-scale venues, stadiums, touring systems, and professional entertainment environments. Moulded Bi-Horn for Superior Accuracy

To achieve precise sound blending, the XY-2 uses a specially engineered moulded Bi-horn. The 8-inch mid driver and 1-inch compression driver sit at perfectly aligned depths inside a shared waveguide. Because of this alignment, the speaker reduces phase cancellation around the crossover frequency and produces a smoother, more coherent sound.

Additionally, the curved waveguide offers accurate dispersion at 50° horizontal and 35° vertical, ensuring that sound reaches the intended audience area with high SPL while preventing unwanted reflections outside the coverage zone.

X-Phase System for Maximum Output

Pioneer Pro Audio integrates its advanced X-Phase System into the XY-2, ensuring that every sound wave exits in perfect alignment. The gold X-Phase plug features a convex design that channels sound through narrow, fan-shaped slits. As a result, the driver produces stronger projection, reduced cancellation, and high-intensity output suitable for long-throw applications.
