Mid/High Precision with X-Phase and Bi-Horn Technology

Advanced Mid-Range and High-Frequency Clarity

The XY-3B features an 8-inch cone driver dedicated to the mid-range band, delivering exceptional precision and detail. Alongside it, a 1-inch compression driver handles the high frequencies, producing crystal-clear output that blends naturally with the mids.

Moulded Bi-Horn Design for Perfect Alignment

Both the mid and high drivers are integrated into a moulded Bi-horn waveguide. Their depth alignment inside the horn minimizes phase cancellations around the crossover point. As a result, the XY-3B provides seamless tonal balance, higher output, and improved coherency compared to conventional separated-horn designs.

In addition, the curved waveguide ensures 50° horizontal × 35° vertical dispersion, focusing sound accurately within the target zone while reducing unwanted spill.

X-Phase System for Maximum Projection

The gold X-Phase plug sits at the heart of the XY-3B’s mid-high section. Its convex shape funnels sound waves through fan-shaped slits, forcing them to exit perfectly aligned. This increases sound projection over long distances, boosts SPL output, and minimizes cancellation between the drivers.
